Kelven & Ellin's Wedding 21/11/2009
I am really sorry for leaving this space with zero update for the past few months. I know my so called "fans" are going to ignore this forever=(
I had been experiencing ups and downs for the past few months before this update.Due to the working contract issues, i.e. my emcee working contract finished early this year, and the urge to find a replacement of a proper job was needed. For your info, surprisingly, i had decided to work as a general clerk in a packing company located at Weld Quay, Penang.
I must say, after trying out different things, i found that my passion on creative art and performing art are getting stronger, and i am quite sure now that i have to fill my entire life with things which are related to classical music and also photography!
I left the wedding update of Celia, my ex manager, but i am going to update it as soon as possible.
Kelven is one of my friends on facebook. He is a gorgeous and charming guy, who works with his wife in HK. He is also a photographer, but i was so proud to be invited as his big day's wedding photographer. He is officially, my very first client from Facebook!
This is really a very memorable experience snapping photos with a sick body. Just 2 days before the shooting, i was having mild fever, and everything was so weird about my body and health. I couldn't sweat but my entire body was full of red spots. I guessed it was the so called alergy. But no matter what, without hiring another assistant, i must still work.
I woke up as early as 4.30am in the morning, yea, to double confirm everything, and drove to Penang's Jelutong, to the bride's house to snap for the preperation and make up session.
The game session was fun, and everybody was so excited and i felt the joy while snapping.
After the tea ceremony, we headed to the bridegroom's place for the similar ceremony and shooting at Tanjung Bungah.I have to say that, the house is very beautiful, with really cool interior decoration!
The daytime shooting was really tiring, but when i viewed the pics on my D300's LCD, i was quite happy with the result.
The wedding dinner took place at Trader's Hotel. I had been fetched to the venue by the couple, and i must say, that the interior was classy and nice, with a really cool theme of decoration! Here are some highlights...
The couple was stunning with their really courty dress and hairdo plus the make up. Especially the bride, who is also a friend of my highschool classmate, what a small world huh.
I really love the decoration of the Penang Ballroom. It's always good to arrive early to have plenty of time to snap for the decoration without being disturbed by the cloud or working staffs there.

I was fully exhauted after the wedding dinner. I woke up another day with a high fever, and i still didn't know that my condition was critical but i went to have seafood cheese baked rice with my best friend at Manhattan Fish Market! It caused my red spots became more and more, and i was totally sick afterwards.
The worst thing was, i still had to deal with all the photo editing, as my clients were going back to Hong Kong after one week!
I was really trying my best to edit at least 100 pics per day.
I thought i took only 700 something for the entire day, but i was shocked when i saw the total files in the folder i created was showing me "977"!
Hallellujah!!!!
i was really going through every single pics to see the potential to be edited. And luckily it was mild editing job, and it doesnt require much effect as if i am going to put them on my portfolio.
The tiring editing job was completed on Wednesday, and i managed to pass the lightscribe DVD to my client on Thursday, together with a fancy and useful bag with a letter with the URL album info.
Thanks Kelven and Ellin for saying that you both love my pictures and ready to introduce me more and more clents in the future.
I am really contented with the shooting result this time. I dared myself to apply manual settings with my 50mm f/1.4 lens for some still life shots. I have learned some flash technique too.
Again, my trust worthy D300 with the 16-85mm lens, are really my best partner for almost every kind of photos.
I found the need to find a graphic designer to help me on the proper logo and namecard for my future development.
I hope i will have more chances on shooting in the future.
